The SCM24C Series are designed to provide audible (private mode) and visual signals for fire protection systems. It combines a selectable two tone chime with a Select-A-Strobe. The chime provides a continuous tone or temporal pattern (code 3) tone when constant voltage from a FACP is applied. Each tone has two dBA levels (high or low). The SCM24C-3075110 strobe can select either 30cd, 75cd, or 110cd light output with a selectable switch. The SCM24C-177 strobe provides a fixed 177cd light output.

The series can be connected either independently or in unison. The chime can be silenced while maintaining strobe activation. The SCM24C Series can be connected either independently or in unison. It can be synchronized by using the SMD10-3A Sync Module to comply with NFPA recommendations concerning photosensitive epilepsy when installing more than two visual appliances within the field of view.
