The 1551UW series of etherstretch products are components of the NITEK cutting edge EtherStretch line, designed to extend 100Mbps Ethernet communication over a single pair of communication cables up to 1500 feet (460 meters).Transmitter and receiver units are Environmentally Hardened to meet NEMA TS-2 specifications for a broad range of applications. They are designed to operate over UTP or any 2 conductor cable and can quickly turn a pair of wires into a high speed Ethernet communication path. These systems are transparent to the network, requiring very little installation time, setup or configuration. The systems require no IP or MAC addressing. Simply connect your network devices to the networking ports of the transmitter and receiver along with existing cabling and the system begins communicating.The ET1551U transmitter is enclosed in a WP1325 polycarbonate and high-impact ABS molded enclosure that meets NEMA 4X specifications and is ideal for use when installing Nitek products outdoors. The units is equipped with a neoprene gasket to prevent Ingress of moisture and dust. The cable entries into the box are made through the UL94V-2 rated nylon hex nut cable seal which is required to maintain NEMA 4X ratings when cables enter or exit a NEMA 4 or 4X type enclosure.
